The Copyright Search Center provides a step-by-step guide to researching the copyright holder or publisher of a piece of music. It also provides forms for obtaining permission from the publisher to arrange a piece of music or make copies of out-of-print music.

COPYRIGHT CLEARANCE CENTER
The Copyright Clearance Center licenses copying and consolidates rights payments to copyright holders. This site provides online access for libraries, corporations, and other organizations to all of CCC's services.
COPYRIGHT AND FAIR USE: STANFORD UNIVERSITY
This site contains dozens of links to journals, magazines, newsletters, and other web sites with information pertaining to copyright and fair use.
COPYRIGHT SOCIETY OF THE USA
The Society's primary function is the gathering, dissemination and interchange of information concerning protection and use of rights in intellectual property. The Copyright Society sponsors Copyright Awareness Week.

This is an individually maintained site focusing on all things relevant to copyright and the Web, including a section devoted to "Famous Copyright Infringements".
